Masons Wednesday 23rd July

You know without all you guys turning out there wouldn't be a singers night, so we'd like to say a great big thank you as again we were graced with the presence of both great talent and entertainment (sometimes both at the same time).

This week was a great night of variety with traditional and contempory folk, some 60's covers, blues and even a touch of slide guitar.  It's this great variety which makes the singers night go with such a swing.  So onto the role call and a great big thank you to Joan, Peter, James and Simon, The Dodgers (2/3rds of them, they claimed they were the good looking part of the band) and last but not least the Madmen.  Again only 2/3s of the trio but if you want to see them at full strength they'll be on at the Masons on the 6th of August.   Oh and of course we mustn't forget there was Ken the Landlord too who gave us a rousing song he had penned himself.

As for the Dodgers claim about their looks you can make you own minds up if you check out the action shots in the album.

Apparently the marquee said of the Saggies "Under my main cover the rather wonderfully named Saggy Bottom Girls were running a singaround while all this was going on. They sang lots of their songs too before the open mic session near tea time. The Saggy Bottom Girls are a bundle of fun and frolics too, but they can make you reach for a tissue too with some of their heart touching words."
