Great comedy song from the pen of Sue Grills which tells you more than you need to know about those among us born in the late '40s and early '50s.
Saggy Bottom songs are gleaned from many sources.
We have an eclectic taste in music ourselves both traditional and modern.
We mainly gathered songs we all enjoy and have a rule
that if one member hated a song we wouldn't include it.
Our main objective was to resurrect cheerful songs we used to enjoy when we first started going to folk clubs.
Our main influence for unaccompanied songs are The Mils Brothers and The Andrew Sisters.
Joanne has added an additional string to our bow by introducing us to a more modern genre.
Sue was a late developer, only in song writing though !, and writes many of the numbers the Saggys now perform she says
"I try to write words which suit the Saggy style both silly and serious"
and that just about sums up the Saggys both serious but mostly silly !
